Detail
The adjacent illustration portays the various coating material options that may be required when resurfacing a new or older court. (use the DIY Flow Chart to navigate to the "Is a Base Coat Required?" button for a better understanding as to why you should consider this option). Applying a colored surface is a great investment. Attractive courts are not only geat to play on but also attract new members. Color resurfacing is usually desired every 6 to 10 years depending on the amount of daily use of the court(s) and the amount of air pollutants in your geographical area. The following numbers of coats are recommended: One or two coats of Acrylic Resurfacer for new or older oxidized surfaces, depending on the surface porosity and/or the amount of repairs completed (if any). A base coat is not always required each time you color coat.

NOTE:  If the present surface has been color coated before, and does not require filling of cracks or leveling depressions, and if you are satisfied with the surface other than requiring new color, you should power wash the entire surface and just add two coats of MultiMate Color with Sand and White Lines.
